TransducerWorks Opens New U.S. Facility, Tripling Production Capacity

CENTRE HALL, PA

TransducerWorks has officially opened its new 30,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania. A major milestone in the company’s growth and a significant expansion of its U.S.-based manufacturing capabilities.

Four times larger than the previous site, the new facility was designed to support OEM customers from early-stage development to high-volume production, with expanded cleanroom capabilities, an integrated on-site machine shop, and increased production capacity.

For many ultrasound innovators, one of the biggest challenges is moving efficiently from a validated prototype to scalable, reliable production. This new facility directly supports that transition by bringing engineering, manufacturing, cleanrooms, and machining capabilities together under one roof.

What’s Changing

  • 30,000 sq. ft. facility: A purpose-built manufacturing space in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania.
  • 4x larger footprint: Four times larger than the previous TransducerWorks site.
  • 3x production capacity: Expanded capacity to support growth from prototype to high-volume manufacturing.
  • ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanrooms: Controlled environments for advanced ultrasound manufacturing.
  • ISO 13485-certified processes: Supporting quality and consistency across development and production.
  • Integrated on-site machine shop: Enabling faster iterations, tighter coordination, and greater flexibility.

Why an On-Site Machine Shop Matters

In custom ultrasound development, mechanical design is closely connected to acoustic performance. Housings, fixtures, and tooling often require tight tolerances and fast design iterations.
By keeping machining capabilities on site, TransducerWorks can reduce dependency on external suppliers, shorten development cycles, and improve coordination between engineering and production teams. This is especially valuable when customers need to move quickly from concept validation to manufacturable designs.

Built for Quality, Scale, and Flexibility

  • The new facility also includes expanded ISO 7 and ISO 8 cleanroom capabilities, supporting the controlled environments required for advanced ultrasound manufacturing.
Combined with ISO 13485-certified processes, these capabilities help TransducerWorks maintain a consistent quality standard across different project phases, from early prototypes to larger production volumes.

Supporting the Next Generation of Ultrasound Projects

TransducerWorks supports OEM customers developing custom ultrasound transducers and arrays for diagnostic, therapeutic, point-of-care, and industrial applications.
With this new facility, the company is strengthening its ability to support complex ultrasound projects with greater capacity, closer collaboration, and U.S.-based manufacturing agility.

Celebrating a New Chapter

On July 22 and 23, TransducerWorks opened its doors to employees, customers, partners, local representatives, and the Centre Hall community to celebrate the official opening of the new facility.
The Grand Opening marked an important moment in the company’s story, but also the beginning of what comes next: helping customers bring advanced ultrasound technologies from idea to production with more speed, flexibility, and confidence.
